They say there’s too much sex and violence in movies these days. Boy, are the people who have been complaining about these things gonna throw a fit when they see Shoot ‘Em Up, which has a scene featuring European hotties Clive Owen and Monica Bellucci going at it like rabbits and killing a bunch of villains in the process without skipping a thrust, err, beat. Check it out here.

There was a time when a copy of FHM was a staple in my magazine collection. That was when they were still featuring stunning women who looked just like the way we saw them on TV and in films.
But in the last few years, I couldn’t help but notice that the women who started making it to the pages of the lad mag looked like anything but real women. Truth to tell, most of the women who have been featured there lately looked like overly-made up drag queens. And they don’t look like the women we knew from TV. Take the current issue for example. Michelle Madrigal is quite pretty on TV. Look what they did to her in this month’s issue. Sad to say, this isn’t the first time this has happened. And I’m not buying any of that anymore.
The FHM management really should think about firing their makeup artists.

Finally, after six years of special treatment, the Sandiganbayan has declared what we already knew all along: former Philippine president Joseph Estrada is guilty of plunder.
But then again, all he gets is a life term, when plunder is supposed to be a capital offense in the Philippines. Anyway, it doesn’t really matter, because I’m pretty certain that in a very short while, Gloria Macagapagal-Arroyo is going to pardon Erap’s unrepentant ass. Only in the Philippines. Sigh.
